Andy Griffiths
Founder & Head Coach at Vortex Martial Arts Academy
Andy Griffiths is the founder and head coach of Vortex, delivering Taekwondo, Kickboxing and fitness-based striking programmes across Lancaster, Galgate, Heysham and Morecambe. With years of coaching experience and a passion for helping people grow, Andy has built Vortex into a welcoming, structured and supportive martial arts community for all ages.
He specialises in developing confidence, discipline and functional self-defence skills, working with everyone from complete beginners to advanced students. Andrew takes pride in running safe, technically sound and engaging classes where every student, child, teen or adult can progress at their own pace.
My Coaching Approach:
Every student should feel supported, welcomed and capable from day one.
Progress comes from clear structure, consistent training and achievable goals.
Martial arts should build confidence inside the training hall and in everyday life.
Technique, safety and good habits matter more than speed or “being the best.”
Training should be fun, challenging and rewarding for all ages and fitness levels.
